Paper plane making

Hi So we are still in lockdown and my teacher gave my class an task to do that was between oragami , Knot tying or paper plane making. I chose to make a paper plane i made 2 kinds. The Bat and The Arrowhead.  I'm going to tell you about the Arrowhead first. Here's a picture of the arrowhead.

It's the classic airoplane that is easy to make. For me it was a bit hard but I made it in the end. It has a flying  distance of 181cm And 15F That is pretty good. Now for The Bat. That bat was super hard and had alot of folding so my dad gave it a go and he got it so i'm going with his. Here is a picture of The Bat.

That is The bat it has a flying distance of 14F. It is 1F shorter than the Arrowhead. Next time I want a bit more of a challenge. I hope that you have enjoyed my blog. Make sure to watch the slide / video and comment below how your's turned out.

  1. Kia ora Chloe,

I am super impressed by the effort and time you have put into this - an excellent example of resilience. I am going to try and do this tonight - I might find it tricky as well. I might have to ask your for help and put pictures in your blog to see if I'm on the right track.

Keep up the good work and blogging,
    Miss Laxa

  2. Miss Laxa we want to see your bat!! Want to have a competition to see how far our attempts go? I find following instructions like this quite tricky, and so that's why I am a big fan of rewindable learning. I like to hear something a few times.

I really liked how you used the 'slash' in your text Chloe. This is an example of level 3 punctuation and is sophisticated. The slash has another fancy name if you want to wow people....it's sometimes called the virgule.

I also like using the slash, but am reminded that it's best in blog and informal pieces of writing. When I am writing to the Board I have to remind myself not to use it and to rewrite the sentence to put in "and/or".
I mostly use the slash for: An $800/week salary. A top speed of 250 km/h. So I put the slash in, instead of using 'per'.

    or instead of using 'and'

I can see you are using commas and full stops well now... try using an exclamation mark when you want to highlight something.
e.g I might find it tricky as well!
See you soon in blogging land.

  3. Hello Chloe, your paper plane tutorial was super cool!

I love how you described in such detail the way you made each of your paper planes, including each fold and its level of difficulty. My favourite plane was the bat plane because it reminds me of the bat plane in Batman the animated series. Its wings have a unique shape and I’d love to see how far each of your planes fly.

Your using full stops and capital letters well so keep it up!
